Three years ago, the City of Chicago targeted two Eastern European immigrant churches, threatening to seize and destroy church buildings if members gathered for worship.
Liberty Counsel intervened, dragging the City of Chicago and Illinois to the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court to force Chicago to back down from Elim Romanian Pentecostal Church and Logos Baptist Ministries.
And we won!
But the shocking actions in Greenfield, Massachusetts, this month reveal that hostility to Christianity is deep.

The community of Romanian and Moldovan churchgoers of Providence Baptist Church in Greenfield, Massachusetts, decided to start a school, Providence Christian Academy (PCA).
They wanted to provide their children with an alternative to the failing indoctrination camps run by their local government.
They met all of the requirements of the law, and submitted an application to Greenfield Public Schools, to obtain approval.
Instead of approving the school, as required by the law, at the July 12 meeting, various members of the Greenfield Public Schools Committee publicly denigrated, maligned, and demeaned the church for its religious beliefs.
It seems the church's beliefs about the family, God, His Creation, and His designs are too "extreme" for woke government.
"[The children] will believe a whole set of things that are erroneous and be historically illiterate, which I think is a bad thing for our community and our country,” claimed school committee member Elizabeth Ann Deneeve, “and ultimately this is going to be reflected in a real breakdown in the separation of church and state.”
She made it clear that she did not want any child to attend this school because the biblical beliefs of the church were too offensive to be permitted in Greenfield.
The curriculum PCA plans to use is accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools.
Full accreditation of Abeka through FACCS provides additional national and state recognition with the National Council of Private School Accreditation, which is a consortium of accrediting associations for the recognition of early childhood, elementary, and secondary private schools, and serves as a national review panel for the standards and review procedures of private school accrediting associations.
However, anti-Christian leftists don’t believe that Christian parents should be allowed to educate their children with a religious curriculum.
After Deneeve expressed her antireligious views, the committee refused to approve the church school’s application on the basis of its religious beliefs and choice of curriculum.
However, the committee indicated that the very same curriculum used by PCA is already approved in Greenfield for homeschool students. Therefore, if the prospective students of Providence Christian Academy are approved to learn from that curriculum individually at home, then the committee has no rational basis for denying these students the fundamental right to learn collectively from that same curriculum at the church school.
Much like the predominantly Romanian members of the Elim and Logos ministries in Chicago, the Romanian and Moldovan immigrants of Providence Baptist Church are well accustomed to tyranny.
These freedom-loving Americans came here from behind the Iron Curtain to escape tyranny.
The members of PCA WILL NOT relinquish their hard-fought religious liberty to the hands of a godless woke few.
They won’t take “no” for an answer, so they called Liberty Counsel.
On July 20, 2023, Liberty Counsel sent a letter demanding the Greenfield Public Schools (GPS) approve the application.
Greenfield Public Schools is violating the First Amendment and Massachusetts law and must approve the school and refrain from further discrimination to avoid further legal action.

Parents, not the government, have the right to choose the best education for their children.
And church schools clearly have the right to teach courses from a Christian worldview.
Pray for a quick victory, so that the children enrolled in Providence Christian Academy can start school as scheduled on September 5.
