Equip Your Kids for God's Kingdom.

Hi Friend,

When she was younger, my granddaughter Lucy and I had a special game. Every time we encountered a set of stairs, she’d beg me to carry her down “the fun way”—where I would sort of exaggerate each stair, so it’s like a little ride on a modified bucking bronco. She just loved it.

Once, as I was carrying Lucy, she asked me, “Papa, will there be stairs in Heaven?” I wasn’t quite sure why she asked this, so I responded, “Lucy, I don’t know. Perhaps. Why do you ask?”

She said, “Because I always want you to carry me down the stairs the fun way!”

That is the mind of a child trying to grasp the mystery of Heaven. Going down the stairs “the fun way” is something she likes, and she wonders if that pleasure will continue in the afterlife.

Jesus said, “I am going to prepare a place for you” (John 14). Heaven is an actual place. It is described in Scripture as a country, a garden, and a city. It has streets, food, activities, and plenty of things to do. And one day, Heaven will come to earth.

It’s important for us to understand Heaven. It’s also important for us to raise our children to understand and long for eternity with God!

I want to give you a great resource for doing just that. When you make a gift in support of Harvest Ministries today, we’ll send you a copy of Randy Alcorn’s Heaven for Kids—a fabulous book that’s full of biblical answers to common questions about Heaven.

Intended for kids ages 8–12, Heaven for Kids is sure to be an excellent resource for families. The book features ten chapters of questions and answers based on Scripture and written in a style relevant to today's kids. It also has a summary of the gospel for those who want to be sure they are going to Heaven someday!

In Heaven, we will be real people, in a real place, doing real things. We will also recognize one another and pick up where we last left off here on earth.

So if you want to see me in Heaven, I will most likely be the guy (hopefully with a full head of hair) carrying the little girl down the stairs . . . the fun way.

Thank you again for furthering the joy of Heaven through your support of Harvest Ministries!

In Christ,

Pastor Greg Laurie
