Holy Spirit Moves Charlotte Church Members to 'Shout to the Lord'

While it may not be continuous like the outpouring of the Asbury University, many churches, like The Gate in Charlotte, North Carolina, are experiencing a tremendous move of the Holy Spirit in recent days.
After 42 minutes of heartfelt worship to begin a service Friday night at the nondenominational church, Senior Pastor John Matthews declared, "as we were worshipping, I just kept hearing ... there is a Scripture [Ezek. 43:5] that says, 'The glory of the Lord fills the temple. That word 'fills' means 'to continually fill.'
"And as much as glory is already in this room, there's more," Matthews said. "There's more. As I was over here worshipping, and the Lord brought a Scripture to my mind. And it says in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 'The Lord will come down with a shout.' ... In the shout there is freedom. People are going to be set free. ... [For] some of you, the hardest part's going to be not trying to overthink it and over-pray it and let God just do it.
"You see, when the King is in the room, it changes how you do things," he said. "Some of you have prayed for so long that the King would enter the room. I have news: He's in the room. ... He has shown up to deal with this stuff. He's shown up to deal with pain. He's shown up to deal with heavy-heartedness. He's shown up to deal with virus. He's shown up to deal with disease. He's shown up to deal with cancer. He's shown up tonight to deal with just letdown. He's here. But I just feel like He said, 'Shout to the Lord!'
"And so we're going to lift a shout that's going to rumble the windows of the neighbors' houses. ... You can't shout out or talk out the religious spirit, but you can sure let Jesus push it out. And so tonight we're going to shout, and things are going to happen."
Church member Rachelle Harry posted this on Facebook during the live Friday service: Thank you, Jesus. Fire, fall down on everyone who sees this after the live! It was amazing."
Diana Stewart posted on Facebook, "Lord hear the prayers of your people, we pray for your presence to flow like living waters and cleanse us, renew us. Restore your Glory, God upon those who love and honor you. In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
The video posted on YouTube also prompted another person, Kimberly Nyberg, to attend service at The Gate this weekend.
