Pagan 2

As God is continuously removed from every aspect and corner of American society, paganism and dark spirits are taking His place.

It seems New York City is leading the charge in visible representations of pagan gods and goddesses.

Once home to the Arch of Palmyra, an arch worshippers of Baal would have to pass under to enter and exit the temple of Baal, New York City has a new goddess on display.

A golden statue of a vaguely human female was erected in honor of the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg and honors those who fight for abortions.

As reported by The Blaze, the creation is "an eight-foot sculpture of a horned female fused to a lotus flower with what appear to be tentacles has been erected above a state courthouse in New York City. The statue joins nine others portraying historical lawgivers, each representing the world's purportedly great legal systems."

The golden calf seems tame compared to what modern society is creating these days.

The designer responsible for the statue, 53-year-old Pakistani-American Shahzia Sikander entitled the piece, "Now," believing it is a valid representation of today's modern, cultural makeup and "aimed at diversifying public spaces."

In a New York Times piece on the monstrosity, Sikander describes the statue: "She [the statue] is a fierce woman and a form of resistance in a space that has historically been dominated by patriarchal representation."

In the artist's statement, she details how the overturning of Roe v. Wade is the defining motivation she had for creating the idol.

"The recent focus on reproductive rights in the U.S. after the Supreme Court overturned the landmark 1973 decision that guaranteed the constitutional right to abortion in the U.S., comes to the forefront," Sikander wrote. "The luminous figure is also a nod to RBG-as seen in the detail adorning her collar."

The statue now sits right across the street from the original statue, "Witness," that Sikander based her creation off in Madison Square Park.

But not all who viewed the mounting of the statue perceived it quite like the artist described.

Daily Wire contributor Andrew Klavan held nothing back in his rebuke of the work:

Compound the filling of New York with pagan statues and works reminiscent of demonic temples, is it any mystery to Christians how American culture is able to accept such grotesque acts like child mutilation?

How much more do believers need to see before they take an introspective look into their hearts and repent before the Lord?

The only option God gave the ancient nation of Israel when they were suffering through the exact same spiritual battle as America today, was to repent and worship Him alone. He tells the Israelites, and Jews and Christians of today, He is a jealous God (Exod. 20:5, 34:14)!

Like with Israel, God has and continues to be patient and graceful to America, which has reaped the blessings of a country founded on Judeo-Christian values, morals and beliefs, yet is actively throwing it all away much like the Israelites of old.

Americans, however, are able to see what happens to a nation that turns from the Lord.

The path of living according to the flesh leads to one place: destruction.

Without true repentance and a turning from the pagan gods and principalities spiritually invading America today, she is going to endure the same fate as Israel when the Lord removed His hand of blessing and protection from them.
