If we put all of our time of learning by listening only to other voices about God and His word, we forfeit the ability to hear God for ourselves.
There are individuals whom God has called to teach and encourage but they cannot take the place of God; they are vessels used of God to expel His truth.
We must individually seek God and become partakers instead of just spectators!
If we are so dependent upon a man to lead us into revelation and have never encountered God ourselves; one must question their heart before God.
God is a jealous God and will never speak through a man what He wants your heart to receive; this comes through knowing Him personally.
I’m not saying The Holy Spirit cannot flow through a surrendered vessel of God to impart, but a true genuine encounter that changes the heart through transformation, only comes through The Living God.
It is personal and intimate in this place and time.
God should be the first and the last voice we hear when seeking truth. We all must be diligent to ask The Lord for discernment and clarity in regards to all other influences!
This is not saying the other voices are right or wrong yet many lock themselves into the beliefs of those they chose to follow and refuse to hear God for themselves.
When we are surrendered in relationship with the God of Creation, the ability to hear opens up.
It will require taking the time to listen, unaided by any other source but God’s spirit.
We all can encounter God and if you've never had an encounter with the Lord, then ask for one.
God is faithful to answer when our heart is open before Him.
A surrendered heart is an open heart!!
