For Such A Time As This“Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, ‘Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?’” (Esther 4:13-14)
Mordecai reminded Esther that she had been chosen to set her own interests aside, let go of her own ambitions, and face an enemy full-on. And many lives were spared because of it.
God gives us kingdom assignments. Maybe not as life or death as He gave to Esther, but important all the same. He's given us resources, education, gifts, and talents, all to use for His kingdom. We have a choice to use them for Him or for ourselves. To set aside our TV, social media, or whatever else we are doing that seems important at the time and step up to serve Him. Maybe it's as simple as sacrificing your time, getting down on your knees, and being a prayer warrior, to stand in the gap for family and friends who nobody else is praying for. Or it could be more. Perhaps you're in your particular neighborhood for such a time as this, or in your job for such a time as this, or in your family for such a time as this. What He is looking for is a willing spirit.
Be aware this week of what God is saying to you. How has He called you to be a light, to be salt? And then go out and do it for such a time as this!
Blessings,
