CHRISTIANITY WILL SURVIVE WITHOUT AMERICA BUT AMERICA WILL NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT CHRISTIANITY
Christianity will survive without America, but America will not survive without Christianity
No one ever hated the Bible more than Voltaire. His obscene attacks on the Christian faith made him a darling of the “intellectual” crowd in Europe. He repeatedly said that the Bible would be erased from Europe about 50 years after this death.
Instead, 50 years after he died, the house he lived in became a Bible distribution center.
Isaiah 40:5-8, “The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” The voice said, “Cry out!” And he said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”
All across America voices are calling for the removal of Christianity from America.
The gloves are off and all pretense of “the greater good” are gone. This, to them, is a street fight.
They want all morality removed and all pleasure legalized. They want to forcefully take what belongs to those who worked hard and squander it. Their boasts are predicted in the Bible.
“Their eyes bulge with abundance; they have more than heart could wish. They scoff and speak wickedly concerning oppression; they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth” (Psalm 73: 7-9).
Will the voices of debauchery win in America? Will they prevail to erase the Gospel? If they do, it will be the end of freedom. Christianity will survive without America, but America will not survive without Christianity.
How much of Western Civilization owes its life to the teachings of the humble Carpenter from Galilee? The answer is: more than you can possibly imagine.
But will the Gospel lose its appeal? That is like wondering if water will ever be unpopular in the desert.
The human heart can choose to do evil, but it cannot choose the result. The agony of sin—the destructiveness of greed—the damage of carnality cannot be controlled.
The screams for Christ to be removed from America are the epitome of foolishness. Because it is in Christ that life becomes worth living.
The human heart can choose to do evil but it cannot choose the result.
The human heart can choose to do evil, but it cannot choose the result. The agony of sin—the destructiveness of greed—the damage of carnality cannot be controlled. It makes you inhuman. It removes all of the innocence and enjoyment of existence.
Madonna made a video of herself licking water out of a dog bowl. How did she fall so low? Is this the noble end of her wealth, creativity and freedom?
When you say you want to break every rule and prove your free will a hideous force takes over that will most certainly humiliate and degrade you.
And don’t you dare try to feel original. This experiment has been tried before.
Psalm 2:1-3, “Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.”
The despots, tyrants, and Voltaires, are like a float in a parade—they will soon pass. But the Word of our God shall stand forever! History has swept up their trash before and this present descent into depravity in America will be the same.
I am about to preach in California after a contentious election. I will preach the message that will heal the broken-hearted, set the addict free, restore natural love in families and unshakable hope in suicidal souls.
Am I ashamed of the Gospel? A million times NO! It is the power of God to everyone.
Be warned America! The angry left is shouting the same vain and foolish boasts we have heard throughout history. They will be drowned out by the very misery of their own creation.
Look to the foundations of America and you will see how the Words of Jesus permeate our creation.
The Church built on the Rock will stand, but, without Christ, America will join the has-been empires in the dust bin of history.
