Tom Grossman, Sr. Right now, in America many are fixated on blaming the democratic left for all our ills. Yet we overlook the real problem we are facing right now, which is God. The good news is that you can be a part of God's end-time remnant. In chapter 12 of Hebrews, we read that there will be a ...removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Again, everything that can be shaken (created things) will be shaken, so that only the eternal things will remain. Our end-time role is to become fearless because we know God's faithfulness and His unshakable love. When we see God bring judgment and shaking, we must never be offended with Him. The ungodly behavior that is prevalent in our world has become so repugnant that this promised shaking from God is growing more severe and will only end with the return of the Lord. Since 9-11 and the explosion of the use of the internet, the world we know has been in an uproar. First, the greatest nation on earth was humbled, shocked, and shaken as airplanes were hijacked and crashed into the twin towers and the pentagon building. Everything seemed to come to a standstill. The airlines, and Wall Street, were closed and our newly elected president had to come up with a response. The nation, for maybe the last time, was in true unity. Churches and prayer meetings were suddenly well-attended. God, it seemed, had set us up for national repentance and prayer. The opportunity was short-lived as we (the super-power USA) turned our efforts toward revenge and war against our attackers. Now, after the fact, it is obvious that we brought no positive change in Afghanistan or Iraq. Jesus is shaking the nations! During the twenty-one years since 9-11, the nations have all been taken over by this new thing called the internet. We are all connected to this all-consuming network. Through the internet, pornography has skyrocketed along with homosexuality and voyeurism. Now we see the newest craze, teaching transsexualism to our children and parents are supporting the effort. God is still God, and He will not be mocked. Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.... Romans 1 tells us that God, not the left, is behind our nation's disasters. As we continue to operate in arrogance and independence from Him, He turns us over to deeper and deeper depravity. Jesus was asked about His return, and he described the moral status in Luke 17 26 And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; 29 but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed. Does disaster come to a city or country without God sending it? Read Amos 3:6. Is God turning our nation over to inflation, shortages, recession, and possibly World War III with either Russia, China, or both? Our church meetings lack the fear and the presence of God. There is little prayer. The world's plan for fixing the country is going to political rallies and joining action groups. The devil loves this strategy because it will distract us from meeting with God through prayer, which is our most important work. God is raising a heroic remnant in America and only He knows its size or scope. Let's pray that we are part of it. Author Bio: Tom Grossman Sr. was given an open vision of Jesus' return in January 2000. The words "we're not ready for this" pulled Tom into full-time prayer ministry and the study of God's word, especially on the subject of the end-times. Since then, Tom has helped plant several prayer ministries, has authored two books, and many resources for the Praying Church. Christ Jesus prayed that all those who would believe in Him would be ONE, just as He and the Father are ONE; that they be brought to complete unity so that the world would know that He was sent by the Father. (John 17:20-23)
