DEMOCRATS ARE HOLDING UKRAINE AID HOSTAGE

Dear Friend,

While Ukrainians are dying defending their homeland from Russian President Vladimir Putin's unwarranted invasion, Democrats are holding a critical aid package to Ukraine hostage in order to pass their radical domestic social policies in a giant "grab bag" of a bill, known as the omnibus.

This bill not only includes the problematic reauthorization text of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) but also contains a "Gender Equity and Equality Action Fund" that would allow the Biden administration to push harmful gender ideology worldwide.

By binding the fate of the Ukrainian aid package with this partisan wish list, Democrats are taking advantage of America's compassion for the embattled country in an attempt to advance their own progressive, anti-family agenda.

To be clear, VAWA itself is not a problem -- the reauthorization text is. In 1994, Congress passed VAWA in an effort to aid victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Unfortunately, when VAWA was reauthorized in 2013, language was added that severely undercut these important original goals.

Democrats are trying to further alter VAWA by slipping in their radical transgender agenda (which, sadly and ironically, would harm the very women VAWA should be protecting). Among other things, these provisions would require female victims of sexual assault to share private spaces with biological men, further compounding their trauma.

My team is working around the clock to ensure this bill does not pass and radical social policies are not injected into these funding bills. This latest bill is 2,741 pages long and has so many sections that it runs through the entire alphabet once and has to start over! This is the kind of thing our team is facing -- we often only have a few hours to review the bill, flag bad provisions, and alert you to them. We embrace this mission and are prepared to continue to do it, but we need your help!

Democrats are willing to jeopardize the safety of battered women, delay essential services to those in need, and hold much-needed Ukrainian aid hostage, all in an attempt to ram through their radical agenda.

The mandates contained in this VAWA authorization will likely lead to strained resources and some facilities closing or limiting their services to women in need.

In addition, under this reauthorization, Planned Parenthood will continue to receive VAWA grants despite their repeated coverups of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

In short, this reauthorization of VAWA harms the very women it aims to protect.

We must continue drawing in the resources that enable us to monitor, track, and help fix pieces of legislation like the omnibus. We can do this effectively from our headquarters here in Washington, but we need your help!

Would you prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you give toward this critical effort to protect battered women?

Thank you in advance for your generous support. May God bless you for your faithfulness.

Standing (Eph. 6:13),
