SUPREME COURT AGREES TO HEAR CASE THAT COULD OVERTURN ROE v. WADE

Please forward this to your family and friends.

Dear Friend,

Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch has filed a brief with the Supreme Court defending the state's ban on abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.

AFA was on the front lines in Mississippi to help pass this 15-week abortion ban into law by alerting grass roots activists in the state to urge the legislature and governor to pass it.

While abolishing abortion is the goal of AFA, we continue to fight for laws that will save as many unborn children as possible.

Legislation like this is in alignment with AFA's core value on the sanctity of human life that "upholds the truth that all human beings, including the unborn, are created in the image of God and are worthy of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

As a result of the United States Supreme Court agreeing to hear the case this fall, it could very well lead the Court to overturn its 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade.

For the first time in nearly 50 years, there is great hope that the United States of America could return to the biblical and constitutional view that unborn children are human beings, created by God, and that the federal government has no right to sanction their abortion.

"The national fever on abortion can break only when this Court returns abortion policy to the states," Fitch wrote in the brief, stating that the science of the womb has evolved so much since Roe was decided.

"It is time for the Court to set this right and return this political debate to the political branches of government."

Send a letter of thanks to Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch for her bold stand for the unborn and for urging the Supreme Court to correct a great wrong.

Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, praised Mississippi's brief in a statement, arguing that "updating America’s abortion jurisprudence is necessary and long overdue."

"The law at issue before the Supreme Court concerns moderate limits on the abortion of a child who has developed past 15 weeks, with a fully formed nose and lips, eyelids and eyebrows – when her humanity is beyond debate," Mancini said.

Attorney General Fitch is leading the nation in the fight to reverse one of our nation’s most egregious sins, the sin of killing unborn babies.

For her tireless work, I am thankful.

TAKE ACTION

1. Pray for this Supreme Court decision. Pray that the Spirit of God will move the justices to reverse the decades old abortion ruling in Roe v. Wade.

2. Sign our letter of thanks to Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch for her bold stand for the unborn and for urging the Supreme Court to correct a great wrong.

Sincerely,
