CHILDREN ARE STARVING IN SYRIA

URGENT - FEED THE HUNGRY
Dear Friend,

Women and children are digging for food in garbage bins.

Food shortages in Syria are at crisis mode and we need your help now. The suffering is widespread and severe.

“The explosion of poverty is now worse than in the time of war.
The people are surviving on one meal a day or less,” Sister Annie Demerjian, our project partner in Syria, told us.

The UN reports that 12.4 million (60%) of people are not getting enough to eat.
More than 500,000 children under five are suffering from stunting as well as chronic malnutrition.

One hungry child is too manyBut what Syrian children are going through now is appalling.

Can we count on your help today? Your donation will help Sister Annie distribute food vouchers to the most desperate families.

The faithful of Syria do not know where their next meal is coming from – or if a meal is coming at all.
But they do know that they have only you to count on in this dire time of need.

The situation is urgent. Please do what you can to feed the hungry in Syria today.

May God bless you.

Prayerfully yours,

Sarkis Boghjalian
Executive Director

P.S.  “Thank God for your help, I always keep in mind the image of St Paul who said that if one part of the body is suffering, the whole body is suffering.  You really live this image. You are sharing our suffering, not just keeping us in your prayers, but also supporting us by helping us meet our different needs.” Sister Annie
