Hello Tom, It's hard to believe, but next year will be 50 years that Harvest has been in ministry. I can still think back to when this ministry started as a small group. People will ask me, "Hey Greg what motivates you to keep going?" I have a passion for sharing the gospel, and that's what this ministry is founded on, to "Know God and Make Him Known". What encourages me is hearing how this ministry impacts lives. Here is a story I'd like to share with you today of Simon, who's wife, Rebecca, went through chemo at the height of COVID. It was our ministry that helped them get through this trying time: I wanted to let you know how much your daily radio ministry has meant to me and my wife over this past year. Rebecca started chemotherapy treatment right when COVID hit. It was a very difficult time for us both, even though we are strong believers of many years experience. I was able to be home every day throughout Rebecca’s treatment, which lasted Feb thru June 2020. Our routine each morning became that I would make her breakfast (sometimes the only meal she could manage in the day), and we would sit and eat it together listening to your A New Beginning message, which we get Monday-Friday on 820 AM the Word Seattle. Your messages, and moreover, the kindness that you always put across, were so important to us during that time. They gave us hope to face all the challenges of that time. Looking back a year later, with Rebecca now healed of breast cancer, we both have such happy memories of those mornings spent listening to you. We will always be in your debt for such kindness. It's stories like these that motivate me to keep pushing our ministry forward. When you donate to Harvest this month, we will send you a copy of my latest book, Billy Graham: The Man I Knew. Help our ministry continue to change lives for many years to come. |
