THE ANSWER TO OUR NATION'S DIVISION

 

Hello Friend, Has our nation ever been more divided than it is now? Certainly not in my lifetime. The only parallel I can think of would be the late ’60s, with all the riots and racial division issues of that time. I would say it was almost as bad then as it is today because there’s an additional aspect to today’s division: social media. In the late ’60s, we didn’t have Twitter and Facebook and all of these platforms where fuel can be thrown onto preexisting flames. As Christians, we need to be peacemakers, not troublemakers. We need to really pray that God would heal our land, as 2 Chronicles 7:14 prescribes. Get a copy of Jesus Revolution with your donation. Some people feel that our nation, and indeed the world, is so far gone that there is nothing to do but hunker down and wait for the end. I don’t feel that way. I believe there is hope for revival. If God could do it in the late ’60s, He can do it again today. Revival isn’t something that we can make happen; it is a work of the Holy Spirit that only He can do. But while we can’t organize revival, we can agonize for it in prayer.
