All 5 States with Worst Homeless Problems Governed by ‘Democrat Trifectas’

Each of the five states with worst homelessness problem is governed by a “Democrat trifecta,” in which a governor has the luxury of both a senate and house controlled by his party. Nationally, 26 of the nation’s 50 governors are Republicans.

ranking of states with the highest number of homeless persons per ten thousand residents by home and moving services company Porch.com finds that New York leads the nation with 47.3 homeless persons per ten thousand population, based on analysis of data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s 2019 Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress.
