JOYFUL, PATIENT, AND FAITHFUL

Joyful, Patient, and Faithful
Tricia Draper

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12 NIV)

These days, when we look around and see nothing but bad circumstances, it's easy to lose our joy.

But for our good, God tells us we need to be joyful, and He lays out a recipe for us to follow every day.

We need to be joyful in hope.

The Biblical explanation of hope is a confident, joyful expectation.

Our hope in God is not just a wish or a dream.

It is real and something we can count on always and forever.

So we need to be joyful and expect good things to happen for us, no matter the situation.

This verse also tells us to be patient in affliction.

We are all going through some trying times in our lives.

In many cases, we have had our lives turned upside down, but we need to be patient and wait on God for our good.

We know that Jesus is still Lord, He's still on the throne, and nothing can change that fact.

He sees us, and He is here with us throughout our trials.

So be patient and trust in Him with everything you have.

Finally, this verse wraps up with being faithful in prayer.

We need to pray in all circumstances, for others' needs, and the end of these trials.

We may never get back to life as we knew it, but God will use it for our good, leading us to something better.

As we are faithful and pray from our hearts, time will pass, and things will change for the better.

Lord, please help me to remember to be joyful, patient, and faithful today. I trust in You. Thank You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
