(CNSNews.com) - "Our founding fathers are being roped to the ground like they were Saddam Hussein,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) noted sadly on the Senate floor Tuesday.

He listed some of the historical figures dragged down in recent days by "this new red guard that nobody elected."
