How long have you been yearning for a breakthrough?
Maybe you have a child or a parent who is ill. Maybe someone you love deeply is going through an intense hardship. Whatever the case, from your perspective, hope seems lost.
Listen: Hope is not lost. There’s still something within your power. You can pray. And the God who hears your prayer is a God of breakthroughs. He broke through the Red Sea when the children of Israel needed deliverance. He broke through the prison walls when Paul and Silas were jailed for their faith. He broke through the power of sin and death by His work on the cross.
Who’s to say He won’t bring a breakthrough for you? I recently watched a film that told the story of a mom who never gave up praying, and she received the breakthrough she needed for her son. He had fallen under the ice of a lake and remained trapped there for over 15 minutes. He was in bad shape and it looked as if he would surely die.
