YOU HAVE AN ANOINTING FROM THE HOLY ONE

The Foursquare Denomination of which we are a part,

Is a Pentecostal Denomination.

It was founded by Amee Semple McPherson,

Through whom God preformed many Sings and Wonders.

The Church in the Book of Acts was Pentecostal Church,

Through whom God preformed many Signs and Wonders,

Just as christ Jesus had done.

Christ Jesus Said:

'If a man is thirsty,

Let him come to Me and Drink.

Whoever belives in Me, as Scripture has said,

STREAMS OF LIVING WATER WILL FLOW FROM WITH IN HIM.'

By this he meant the Spirit,

Whom those who believed in Him were later to receive.

Up to that time the Spirit had not yet been given,

Since Jesus had not yet been Glorified.

(John 7:37-39)

We know that the Spirit was given on Pentecost Day.

The apostle John told the Saints of his day:

20 BUT YOU HAVE AN ANOINTING FROM THE HOLY ONE,

AND ALL OF YOU KNOW THE TRUTH.

(1 John 2:20)

26 I am writing these things to you

About those who are trying to lead you Astray.

27 AS FOR YOU,

THE ANOINTING YOU RECEIVED FROM HIM REMAINS IN YOU,

AND YOU DO NOT NEED ANYONE TO TEACH YOU.

BUT AS HIS ANOINTING TEACHES YOU ABOUT ALL THINGS

AND AS THAT ANOINTING IS REAL, NOT COUNTERFEIT--

JUST AS IT HAS TAUGHT YOU, REMAIN IN HIM.

(1 John 2:26-27)

Christ Jesus is the Holy One,

He is the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.

He is the One who poured out His Anointing at Pentecost.

He has received from the Father

THE PROMISED HOLY SPIRIT

And has Poured out what you now see and hear.

(Acts 2:33)

THE PROMISE IS FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN

And for all who are far off--

For all whom the Lord our God will call.

(Acts 2:39)

We are the Kings and Priests of the New Covenant.

In the Old Covenanat,

In order to enter the Temple,

The Priests had to remove their ordinary clothing

And put on their Preistly clothing,

And they had to be Anointed with Oil,

A Type of the Holy Spirit.

Only then could they enter the Holy Place.

Today, we are to live in the Secret Place of the Most High;

And find Rest in the Shadow of the Almighty.

Today, we are to put off the World,

And put on the Garments of Christ;

We are to be Clothed with Christ,

Clothed with His Anointing.

What is one of the great Provisions of this Anointing?

It is Speaking in Tongues.

Speaking in Tongues is to Build us Up in the Holy Spirit;

The Spirit of Truth;

The Spirit who leads us into All Truth.

The apostle Paul said that he prayed in Tongues

More than all the Saints.

He encourged them to Pray without ceasing.

One way that is done is to Pray in Tongues.

The apostle Paul said that

We do not know what we Ought to Pray,

But the Spirit Himself Intercedes for us

With Groans that words cannot express.

And He who searches our hearts

KNOWS THE MIND OF THE SPIRIT,

Because the Spirit Intercedes for the Saints

IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOD'S WILL.

(Acts 8:26-27)

Do you want to Pray according to God's Will?

Then you will Pray in Tongues.

Praying in Tonges is a Critical Provsion of God.

It is Critical that we be Built Up in the Holy Spirit,

So we are not Deceived by the Schemes of the Devil.

Christ Jesus said that in the Last Day

The Deception would be so Great,

That it would Deceive even the Elect,

If that were possible.

(Matthew 24:24)

Oil is a Type of the Holy Spirit.

It was Critical for the Five Wise Virgins.

Because of Oil, they were ready to meet the Bridegroom,

And the Door to the Wedding Banquet was opened to them.

But the Door was Closed to the Five Foolish Virgins,

Who did not have enough Oil.

Christ Jesus, in speaking to the Church of Ephesus,

Said that they had lost their First Love,

And that if they did not regain it

He would remove their Lampstand from its Place;

They would be Removed from Heaven.

(Revelation 3:1-6)

If you want to keep your First Love,

Praying in tonges;

Being built up in the Holy Spirit is Critical.

The Church of Laodicea was neither Hot nor Cold,

They were Pitiful, Poor, Blind and Naked.

If they did not change,

Christ Jesus was going to Spit them out of His mouth.

They were not Built Up in the Holy Spirit.

Only those who OVERCOME this Wicked World,

Will be in Heaven with Christ Jesus.

Those who OVERCOME,

Will be Built Up in the Holy Spirit,

And will be able to Receive Christ Jesus when He Returns.

They will be able to OVERCOME Satan

By the Blood of the Lamb,

And the word of their Testimony,

Not loving this life so much as to shrink from Death.

(Revelation 12:11)

We are to Minster through the Anointing;

Through the Holy Spirit.

The Anointing is Practical.

The apsotle James said:

Is any one of in Trouble?

He should Pray.

Is anyone happy?

Let him sing songs of Praise.

Is any one of you Sick?

He should call the Elders of the Church

To Pray over him and Anoint him with Oil

In the Name of the Lord.

And the Prayer offered in Faith

Will make the Sick person well;

The Lord will raise him up.

If he has sinned he will be forgiven.

(James 5:13-15)

A Christain is a person Surrendered to Christ Jesus.

If we are to Surrender our very lives to Christ Jesus,

Can we not Surrender our Tongues?

Let all who have not received

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit come forward;

All who do not Speak in Tongues,

And we will Lay hands on you and Anoint you with Oil,

And let Christ Jesus Anoint you,

As the Saints in the Book of Acts were Anointed.
