CHRISTMAS - WHEN WE TRULY SEE THE LORD

✟ Christmas ✟
We see Christmas only when we truly see the LORD. It was one great leap from the throne of God to that manger in the stable; to the top of glory to the bottom of humiliation; from the bosom of God to the breast of His mother.
He put on humanity that we might put on Divinity. He loved us that so for our sakes He, through whom time was made, was made in time; and He, older by eternity than the world itself, was younger in age than many of His servants in the world.
He, who made man, was made man; He who made a tree, had come to earth to die on a tree so that we might have eternal life.
His birth was an event so miraculous that all heaven was awed with the wonder of it all. (Carl Richardson)
And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Luke 2:9-14✟
