Secretary Betsy DeVos receives Christian Statesman Award
Dear Friend,
Even as we find ourselves in the midst of a highly polarized political climate, I thank God for the many godly men and women who are working in the halls of government.
I’m sure you do, too, and that is why I thought you’d want to know that on Monday evening, the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship presented its 2019 Distinguished Christian Statesman Award to The Honorable Betsy DeVos, United States Secretary of Education.
British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once observed: “If you want anything said, ask a man. If you want anything done, ask a woman.” Through both public and private service, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has been getting things done for decades. She is a stellar example of Christian statesmanship, with her public service inspired by her deep Christian commitment and her quiet confidence in the providence of God. Secretary DeVos loves her Lord and Savior, her dear family, and she loves America. As recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Christian Statesman Award, she joins an illustrious gallery of women and men fully devoted to Christ and fully devoted to serving our great nation.
Twenty-four years ago, the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship inaugurated its Distinguished Christian Statesman Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize men and women who endeavor to live out their Christian faith and stand for truth and righteousness in the halls of government. Each year since that time, the Center has recognized one outstanding government leader as a Distinguished Christian Statesman.
It is noteworthy that in 2008, Vice President Mike Pence, was the recipient of the award while serving as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Please join me in praying for Secretary DeVos. Pray also that God will raise up a new generation of Christian statesmen and women through whom the blessings of liberty may be secured in America for generations to come.
Sincerely,
Frank Wright, PH.D.

Christ Jesus prayed that all those who would believe in Him would be ONE, just as He and the Father are ONE; that they be brought to complete unity so that the world would know that He was sent by the Father. (John 17:20-23)
