IRANIAN JUDO STAR DEFECTS TO GERMANY
Three cheers for Sadie’s Millard! Iran’s judo world champion has defected to Germany after he disobeyed a direct order from an Iranian minister to withdraw from the world championships to avoid fighting an Israeli.
Iran's judo world champion, Saied Mollaei, has travelled to Germany to seek asylum after refusing to throw a fight that would see him come face to face with an Israeli opponent.
