How to defeat Elizabeth Warren
Rachel Alexander: 'Pin some of these labels on her and make them stick'
I predicted back in January that Elizabeth Warren would be a formidable presidential candidate.
She hadn't even officially announced her candidacy yet.
She has a fake folksy charm, and unlike some of the other Democratic presidential candidates, is careful about what she says.
She's not prone to gaffes as some of them are, especially Joe Biden. As a result, she is surpassing Biden and becoming the Democratic front-runner.
Warren is quite vulnerable on her false claim that she is Native American, something she took advantage of to advance her career.
She became a multimillionaire on the backs of Native Americans.
She was no doubt handed breaks and advantages because people thought she was part Native American.
She took them at the expense of real Native Americans who might have received the opportunities had she not been there with her hand out.
Harvard University Law School, where she obtained a teaching job, had her listed as a Native American.
Does anyone really think that did not influence the decision to hire her?
President Trump's nickname for her, Pocahontas, is catchy but doesn't quite get across the evilness of what she did; it's too lighthearted. When you hear the name Pocahontas, you think of a noble Native American woman.
A nickname that calls her out directly would have a stronger negative effect – "Native American appropriator" or similar.
This should be brought up constantly about her, especially when she is talking about race issues.
Right now the mainstream media are acting as if it's forgotten and forgiven.
Tribal leaders should be quoted often criticizing her for this falsehood.
Chuck Hoskin, the Cherokee Nation secretary of state, said, "It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well-documented and whose heritage is proven.
Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage."
One Cherokee genealogist said that because of this, she will never vote for Warren under any circumstances.
Warren is a hypocrite.
She claims to want to tax the rich but leaves herself out.
Her "ultra-millionaire" tax proposal would only apply to people with fortunes over $50 million.
It would conveniently leave her out, since her wealth is valued at $12 million.
In contrast, Bernie Sanders' plan would include her, taxing estates valued between $10 million and $50 million at 50%.
Her viewpoints are so closely aligned with Bernie Sanders that commentators refer to a "Sanders-Warren wing" of the Democratic Party.
Constant references to Bernie Sanders as a socialist – which he described himself as in the past – no doubt helped tank his 2016 run for president.
References to Warren should always include "that socialist Warren."
Make her name synonymous with socialism.
While there is a significant contingency among millennials that supports socialism, there are still enough older Democrats who prefer a more moderate alternative.
Warren supports free college tuition like Sanders.
Instead of coming up with her own health-care plan, she endorsed Sanders' Medicare for All.
She is a Bernie Sanders socialist clone.
She is vulnerable on her flip-flops on the issues.
She claimed to support capitalism and school vouchers in the past, but has since aligned herself to oppose both.
She denounced flipping homes but flipped five herself.
She supported school voucher programs before she opposed them. She held high-dollar fundraisers for a while and then stopped.
She should be nicknamed "Senator Flip-flop."
She tries to hypocritically have it both ways.
She calls herself a progressive Democrat but has labeled herself "a capitalist to my bones."
She apparently only did this to justify her multimillionaire status.
Warren isn't completely free of gaffes.
During a speech last week, she praised Frances Perkins, a workers' rights activist from the early 20th century.
However, Perkins became widely known for criticizing the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision that outlawed segregation in public schools.
Perkins said Americans "should be nice to Negroes," but not necessarily have to go to school with them.
Biden has come under fire recently from others on the left for allegedly being a racist.
Why not Warren?
The left has become so obsessed with attacking their opponents as racist that they are now turning on themselves.
Why is Warren getting a free pass here?
There are plenty of ways to go after Warren.
Pin some of these labels on her and make them stick.
Everyone remembers how George H.W. Bush was defeated for reelection as president.
His opponents brought up his promise that he broke, "Read my lips.
No new taxes."
Warren is vulnerable to many criticisms. It's time to start bringing them up every time she's in the news.
