NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS LORD, LORD WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Matthew 7:21-23

21 NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS TO ME, 'LORD, LORD'

WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN,

BUT ONLY HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHERLESS

WHO IS IN HEAVEN.

22 MANY WILL SAY TO ME ON THAT DAY,

'LORD, LORD, DID WE NOT PROPHESY IN YOUR NAME

AND IN YOUR NAME DRIVE OUT DEMONSTRATES

AND PERFORM MANY MIRACLES?'

23 THEN I WILL TELL THEMPLAINLY,

'I NEVER KNEW YOU.

AWAY FROM ME YOU EVIL DOERS!'

Christ Jesus says that MANY

Will say to Him ON THAT DAY,

'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name,

And in your name drive out demons

And perform many miracles?'

Yet, the Christ of God will tell them

That He never KNEW them,

And calls them EVIL DOERS.

This is one of the most shocking Scriptures in the Bible.

First of all there are not a few, but MANY in this condition.

These people are exercising gifts

That can only be given by the Spirit of God.

They are prophesying, driving out demons,

And performing miracles;

They are doing those things

That the Scriptures admonish the Saints to do.

Yet Christ Jesus does not KNOW them,

And calls them Evil Doers.

This Scripture teaches us that we can be Saved,

Baptized (immersed) in the Spirit;

Christ can put His laws in our minds

And write them on our hearts,

Which enables us to KNOW Him;

Yet we can FAIL to do His Will.

This FAILURE has everything to do with Motives.

If our Motive in doing what Scripture calls us to do

Is not done solely out of love for

And to please the Christ of God,

Then we are not doing the will of God,

No matter what it is.

Doing the Will of God is Ultimately Important.

Scripture teaches that the GIFTS and CALL of God

Are without Repentance.

In other words God gives GIFTS and CALLINGS

To men and women as He sees fit.

However, how they use these GIFTS and CALLINGS

Is in the hands of the person.

If these GIFTS and CALLINGS are not carried out.

In LOVE for God and His people, then they are EVIL.

MOTIVE is everything.

If they are done to exalt the person

Or for monetary gain they are EVIL.

The GIFTS and CALLINGS of God must be done

To exalt Christ alone;

They are from Christ, and must Exalt Him only.

When they are done to Exalt a person

This is a LIE

And therefore, perverse and EVIL.

When the GIFTS and CALLINGS of God

Are used to exalt a person,

That person is following in the foot steps of Satan,

A created being who desires to be exalted and worshiped;

This is a LIE.

Everything he has was given to him by God,

Therefore, for him to take credit for attributes he was given by God,

Is a LIE, EVIL, and condemns that person to Eternal Death.
