Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller devoted his investigation of Russian interference in U.S. elections to finding evidence against President Donald Trump, but turned a blind eye to other potential interference, Rep. Gaetz (R-Florida) told Mueller Wednesday.
At a House hearing questioning Mueller, Gaetz quoted to Mueller the former special counsel’s opening statement saying the goal of the Russia probe was to be thorough. Gaetz then accused Mueller of refusing to pursue that end in regards to Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous, discredited “Trump Dossier”:
