INDEPENDENCE COMES AT A COST

Special Independence Day Message from Reality Alert [Video]   Dear Friend,   Happy Independence Day 2019! I hope you are enjoying this special week of celebrating our independence as a nation … and our individual God-given freedoms of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.   Did you know that the Declaration of Independence – first approved by the Second Continental Congress on July 2nd, 1776 … with the final version being approved two days later on July 4th – was also a declaration of dependence? (See the 5-minute video below.)   Not many people are aware of the last sentence of the Declaration of Independence. It reads, “And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.”   The 56 signers of the Declaration knew they were risking their honor, everything they owned … and even their lives … by declaring their intention to break away from the rule of King George and the government of Great Britain…   In taking those risks, they declared their reliance and dependence on God.   You can read the entire text of the Declaration of Independence here. Pay particular attention to the list of grievances of the American colonies against King George and the British government.   Their refusal to allow the colonists to govern themselves is similar to what activist federal judges in the U.S. are doing today when they: Legislate and make new laws from the bench, usurping the role of Congress and of local governing bodies Overturn and undermine executive orders and policies based on flimsy or faulty reasoning Our republic and our liberty are in danger in the upcoming 2020 election.
