"NOWDAYS, PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT MERITS OR THE SUBSTANCE"

Attorney General William Barr says he expects to be attacked if he does his job properly, “Because we live in a crazy, hyper-partisan period of time.”
In an interview with CBS This Morning airing Friday, Barr was asked if he expected to have his reputation attacked when he accepted the job as U.S. attorney general.
Barr said that, yes, he did expect to be attacked, because “Nowadays, people don’t care about the merits or the substance. They only care about who it helps.”
