SCHIFF: RELEASING 'DOSSIER' INVESTIGATION RESULTS 'UN-AMERICAN'

But Rush Limbaugh says claims Mueller investigated were every bit 'a lie'

Now, investigating possible violations of the law is “un-American.”

That’s according to Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., regarding the Justice Department’s effort to find out how the Russia-collusion investigation began.

Schiff has held steadfastly to claims that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton, despite the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller that there was no collusion.

Schiff wrote on Twitter: 

“While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice, Trump and [Attorney General Williams] Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.”

He continued: 

“The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase. This is un-American.”

Katie Pavlich at TownHall said Schiff is engaging in projection.

“Schiff is accusing President Trump of exactly what the Left has been doing for years,” she wrote. 

“Barr is investigating their scheming and corruption, which is making players like Schiff, former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, former DNI James Clapper, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and others squirm.”

She said it was the Obama White House, FBI and Department of Justice “that weaponized law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies.”

“Whether it was the IRS working with DOJ to target conservative tea party leaders or the FBI using a bogus Clinton funded dossier to justify domestic spying on Americans working for the Trump campaign,” she wrote.

Schiff’s claims came after Trump gave Barr permission to declassify documents about Obama administration’s surrveillance of the Trump campaign. 

Barr has confirmed he believes the Obama administration “spied” on the Trump campaign.

Talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh pointed out the investigation into the Obama administration’s weaponizing of the DOJ and courts against Trump likely has some people more than worried.

Trump is, after all, committed to the new review.

Limbaugh noted that nearly a month ago, one of the president’s lawyers, Emmet Flood, told Barr about authorization to release the information.

Barr, he said, has “held back – because he wanted all of this to settle. 

He knows the people running this scam against him, he knows how dirty they are, and he wanted it to wrap up.”

That why, Limbaugh said, fired Attorney General James Comey keeps “inserting himself in this.”

He said Democrats are trying to get out in front of the events, “but, folks, there’s gonna be too much of it. 

They aren’t going to be able to spin their way out of this. 

When any president uses the bully pulpit to put a story out, and if he has good people like Emmet Flood and William Barr – 

and if you’ve got pit bulls like Rudy Giuliani – 

to go out there and tell the story, and at the same time declassify all the stuff that they have been petrified was gonna be declassified, there isn’t anybody that can compete with it.

“Jerry Nadler is gonna be so outmatched. 

Pencil Neck is gonna be outmatched. 

Pelosi’s gonna be outmatched. 

Chuck You Schumer and Feinstein are gonna be outmatched,” he explained.

“This is why they have been literally scared to death Trump is gonna do, because once this starts and once the public reveal begins… 

Because there isn’t any way to beat it back, there isn’t any way to control…”

He explained that there are many who hate President Trump, and “the reasons for that are many and varied. 

But I find it fascinating that, on the verge of declassification, everybody is scared to death and don’t think it should happen and don’t want it to happen… 

Not one person saw this story for what it was and tried to get to the truth of it, become this era’s Woodward or Bernstein. 

Not one person even now is interested in finding out what actually happened.”

He said the bottom line isn’t complicated. 

For years the Democrats have claimed collusion by Trump with Russia, by his campaign and more.

“And every damn story was a lie! 

Every damn story was a lie, and every damn story had a 13th paragraph in which they acknowledge that what was in the story couldn’t be proved or corroborated but it was only a matter of time before the walls would be closing in on Donald Trump. 

And throughout these two years, Donald Trump said it was all bogus. Donald Trump said he didn’t do it. 

Donald Trump said there wasn’t any collusion. 

Donald Trump said there wasn’t any obstruction or collusion, none of it happened.”
