THE NEW LEFT IS JUST PLAGIARIZING THE OLD

Exclusive: Brent Smith describes policies as 'failed ideas from a century or more ago'

For years, we on the right have been searching for a term that adequately identifies the far left, or radical left. 

We see it every year; they lurch further toward the radical, and their political class must follow or get steamrolled.

So is there a term that is further left than the “far” left, or the “radical” left? 

If there isn’t currently, perhaps we should begin crafting one – and sooner than later. 

I say this because the current crop of leftists appear to be far afield from where they were and how they presented themselves just a decade ago or less.

In 2008, the Democratic Party campaign platform stated that, “we cannot continue to allow people to enter the United States undetected, undocumented and unchecked,” and that those who “enter our country’s borders illegally, and those who employ them, disrespect the rule of law.”

Now, 10 years later, no Democrat with higher political aspirations would dare suggest such a thing. 

Rather, Kamala Harris says she will never vote for any wall funding, but rather will opt for Democratic voyeuristic border security, like more cameras and drones to monitor illegals crossing the border.

That’s great. 

We won’t stop them at the border, but we can watch them as they cross. 

It’ll be the next great reality show.

However, beyond the lurch left on border security and the newly discovered special civil rights for the LGBTQ community, the ideas of this new breed of leftists is neither more radical nor new. 

It’s as the old saying goes: 

There is nothing new under the sun.

All these ground-breaking initiatives being brought forth by this new crop of leftist Democrats is simply a rehashing of the old, lifted from turn-of-the-century (19th to 20th) progressives and from FDR’s Second Bill of Rights (SBoR).

FDR proposed a Constitutional Amendment containing new rights for every American. 

The difference was that instead of a set of God-given natural rights, these rights would be bestowed upon us by the gods of our benevolent federal government.

FDR exclaimed that everyone has the right to “a job, an adequate wage and decent living, a decent home, medical care, a paid vacation, economic protection during sickness, accident, old age or unemployment, and a good education.

It’s virtually identical to everything the “new” left is proposing today.

 The “fight for 15” minimum income seems radical, but it’s just a rehash of FDR’s “adequate wage and decent living.” Universal health care, or Medicare for All, expanding the social safety net and free education, including universal kindergarten and free college tuition, are all just modernized versions of FDR’s SBoR.

These fresh, young, hip, “democratic socialists” are not ground breakers; they’re plagiarists and frauds – 

appropriating failed ideas from a century or more ago, without attribution, as if they just developed them.

Even the barbaric new laws and initiatives proposed in New York and now Virginia regarding late-term abortions and beyond are nothing new. 

They only appear new because Americans have such a woefully inadequate grasp of our own history.

These bills/laws are just the precursors of what will come next – eugenics, which predated FDR’s SBoR by some 40 years.

For those who know the term eugenics, the natural tendency is to conjure up images of Hitler and the Nazis trying to create the master race. 

Yet most are unaware that the eugenics movement began in America in the early 20th century.

Funded by the Carnegie Institution and Rockefeller Foundation, researchers at major universities such as Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Princeton explored various methods of forced segregation, sterilization and extermination of entire bloodlines.

In 1909, California passed laws allowing eugenicists to forcibly sterilize upwards of 60,000 citizens, excluded thousands from marrying and segregating thousands more. 

They masked their dirty deeds with flowery titles such as the Human Betterment Foundation – because who could be against the betterment of humanity? 

This is not unlike the Planned Parenthood abortion factories being named women’s health centers – who could be against women’s health?

The Rockefeller Foundation helped fund the eugenics movement in Germany and was the benefactor of a program for its most infamous practitioner, Josef Mengele. 

Hitler’s “final solution” against the Jews ascended from the early eugenics movement.

And now the “pro-choice” movement appears to be reopening the door to eugenics, in the form of new abortion bills with flowery-sounding innocuous names like “Reproductive Health Act.”

To be fair, these bills are not eugenics legislation, but they are the typical progressive framework that will restart the barbaric movement.
