KNOW ME AS LORD

Today the Lord said, If you share in my death you will also share in My life. If you share in my suffering, so you will also share in My glory.

I struggled to wrap my head around this, I simply didn't understand. As I surrendered my thoughts the revelation came.

He said, The suffering is your struggle to surrender, to admit you are not in charge, to see yourself as you truly are, and to know your need. The glory is to know Me as Lord.

When we understand that our struggle is to give up control, that the reward is abundant Life when He is Lord, we rush to crown Him King, to receive abundance, healing, provision, and all manner of unspeakably wonderful promises! But there is more to it than that.

To receive anything from Him, we need to 'know' (personally, intimately) Him, and be in right relationship with Him, for receiving is a deeply personal exchange, and if He is not 'Lord', then we have not positioned ourselves to receive anything from Him.

When you know and trust His love, it is a sweet encounter that never fails and never ends. The glory is His wonderful, powerful presence, and the very Life He brings.
