SCRIPTURES CONCERNING HELL

Revelation 21:6-8

6 He (Christ) said to me:

“It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega,

The Beginning and the End.

To him who is Thirsty I will give to drink without cost

From the Spring of the Water of Life.

7 He who Overcomes will inherit all this,

And I will be his God and he will be my son.

8 But the Cowardly, the Unbelieving, the Vile,

The Murderers, the Sexually Immoral,

Those practicing Magic Arts, the Idolaters and all Liars--

Their place will be in the Fiery Lake of burning sulfur.

This is the Second Death.”

Matthew 25:46

45 “He (Christ) will reply,

I tell you the truth,

What ever you did not do

For the least of these, you did not do for Me.”

46 “Then they will go away to Eternal Punishment,

But the Righteous to Eternal Life.

Psalm 9:17

17 The Wicked return to the grave,

All the Nations that forget God.

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

8 He (God) will Punish those who do not know God

And who do not obey the Gospel of our lord Jesus.

9 They will be Punished with Everlasting Destruction

And shut out from the Presence of the Lord

And from the Majesty of His Power.

10 On the Day He comes to be Glorified

In His holy people

And to be Marveled at among all those

Who have believed our Testimony to you.

Matthew 13:49-50

49 This is how it will be at the End of the Age.

The angels will come

And separate the Wicked from the Righteous

50 And throw them into the Fiery Furnace,

Where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Acts 2:26-27

26 Therefore my heart is glad

And my tongue rejoices;

My body also will live in hope,

27 Because You will not abandon me to the grave,

Nor will You let Your Holy One see decay.

Mark 9:43

43 If your hand causes you to Sin,

Cut it off.

It is better for you to enter life maimed

Than to have two hands to go into Hell.

Jude 1:7

7 In a similar way,

Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns

Gave themselves up to Sexual Immorality and Perversion.

They serve as and Example

Of those who suffer the Punishment of Eternal Fire.

Proverbs 15:24

24 The Path of Life leads Upward for the wise

To keep him from going down to the grave.

Proverbs 23:13-14

13 Do not withhold discipline from a child;

If you punish him with the rod,

He will not die.

14 Punish him with the rod

And save his Soul from Death.

Matthew 13:41-43

41 The Son of Man will send out His angels,

And they will weed out of His Kingdom

Everything that causes Sin

And all who do Evil.

42 The will throw them into the Fiery Furnace,

Where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then the Righteous will Shine like the Sun

In the kingdom of their Father.

He who has ears let him hear.

Revelation 19:19-20

19 Then I saw the Beast and the kings of the earth

And their armies gathered together

To make War against the rider (Christ)

On the horse with His army.

20 But the Beast was captured,

And with him the False Prophet

Who had performed the miraculous Signs on his behalf.

With these Signs he had Deluded those

Who had received the “mark” of the Beast

And worshiped his Image.

The two of them were thrown alive

Into the Fiery Lake of burning sulfur.

Proverbs 15:11

11 Death and destruction lie open before the Lord--

How much more the hearts of men!

Matthew 16:19

18 And I tell that you are Peter,

And on this Rock (Christ)

I will build My Church,

And the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

2 Peter 2:4

For God did not spare angels when they Sinned,

But sent them to Hell,

Putting them into gloomy dungeons

To be held for judgment.

Revelation 20:13-15

13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it,

And Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them,

And each person was Judged

According to what he had done.

14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire.

The Lake of Fire is the Second Death.

15 If anyone's name was not found

Written in the Book of Life,

He was thrown into the Lake of Fire.

Matthew 10:28

28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body

But cannot Kill the Soul.

Rather, be afraid of the One

Who can Destroy both Soul and body in Hell.

Ezekiel 18:20

20 The Soul who Sins is the one who will Die.

The son will not share the Guilt of the father,

Nor will the father share the Guilt of the son.

The Righteousness of the Righteous man will be credited to him,

And the Wickedness of the Wicked will be charged against him.
