THE SINGLE-MINDED CHRISTIAN

The Single-Minded Christian
Toni Babcock

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2:5-8 KJV)

Here’s the great thing about Jesus:

He was never double-minded about himself. He spoke plainly about who he was with all the confidence and assurance of a man who made no apologies that he was the Son of God.

If we have believed on Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Savior, we can learn to be that confident and single-minded too.

This doesn’t mean we live out our faith in a boastful, self-righteous way.

It means we live out our faith in a quiet and humble assurance, expecting that Jesus keeps his promises, and he wants to use us in amazing ways.

Lord, help every child of God carry the demeanor of a child of God fully expecting you to do great things through faith in Jesus Christ according to your Word.
