STAND FIRM WITH FAMILY RESEARCH COUNCIL

Logo

Dear Friend,
Scripture from Isaiah 7:9 says, "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all." (NIV)

For 35 years, Family Research Council has been equipping Christians to stand firm in advancing faith, family, and freedom.

Through your generous financial support and prayers, FRC can stand firm with other believers across the country, protecting religious liberty and promoting biblical truth in the public square. When you partner with us, you equip us to stand on your behalf to protect one of this country's most precious freedoms: The First Amendment.

Over the past year, FRC has been able to advance the freedoms that we cherish as Americans and believers in Christ. Air Force Colonel Leland Bohannon's victory is an example of what happens when engaged believers stand up.

When Colonel Bohannon was suspended from duty for his religious conviction of not signing a "certificate of appreciation" for the same-sex spouse of an airman in his command, he thought his twenty-four-year career in the Air Force was over.

But with the help of 77,024 petitions from supporters of FRC and the American Family Association, Leland Bohannon was reinstated. A unified voice defended religious liberty, and an Air Force colonel was not only given his job back but his freedom to practice his faith openly.

Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson made her stance on religious liberty known before she was confirmed, "Air Force policy must continue to ensure that all Airmen are able to choose to practice their particular religion." She honored that policy by overruling an Equal Opportunity investigator who had decided that Bohannon was guilty of discrimination.

Today, Colonel Bohannon celebrates his religious freedom!
Every petition you sign, every call to your members of Congress, every prayer, and every financial contribution impacts the direction of this country.

When we stand firm unified around the common vision of protecting life, the family, and religious liberty -- lives are changed, and our biblical values are preserved.

Congressman and chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), recently shared about Family Research Council's work, "Now that I've seen first-hand how critical their work is on Capitol Hill and throughout D.C., I wish I had supported FRC more. The more they succeed, our nation succeeds."

Please stand firm with us to promote faith and protect religious liberty in our nation.

June 30 marks the end of our fiscal year -- and we must finish strong if we are to be positioned and prepared to fulfill our mission in the days ahead. We currently need $1.9 million to meet our budget.

To help meet this goal, some generous friends of FRC have put forward a Matching Challenge that will increase the impact of your gift today for faith, family, and freedom.

Your support today will enable us to stand in the gap for those like Colonel Bohannon and others who are discriminated against because of their religious convictions. We hope that religious freedom will flourish in all communities, but we want to be equipped to handle injustice if it arises and stand with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Will you partner with us at this critical hour?

Let's stand firm together in our faith!
