OPEN DOORS:PASTOR BRUNSON UPDATE

Imprisoned Church Leader Not Forgotten

We wanted to update you on some recent developments with Pastor Andrew Brunson and ask for your continued prayers as his next hearing approaches on July 18. It’s hard to believe that since his arrest October 2016, Pastor Brunson has been away from his family for 605 days now, jailed in a Turkish prison.

Since his most recent hearing on May 6, government leaders, including President Trump, and international groups have stepped up their support, increasing the pressure on Turkey to free the North Carolina pastor who is unjustly imprisoned on false charges of terrorism and espionage. The 62-page indictment detailing Pastor Brunson’s “crimes” accuses him of “Christianization” and calls Christianity “an act of terror.”

From his prison cell, Pastor Brunson has repeatedly written that one of his greatest fears is being forgotten. As government leaders advocate for his release, please join with us as we continue to remember Andrew in our prayers, petitioning God to work in and through this persecution, to ultimately bring him home to his family.

And if you haven’t written a prayer yet, we hope you'll join with almost 1,600 believers worldwide and share your words and heart. Click to share on our Prayer Wall for Andrew and his family…
Pastor Brunson Update
P.S. As you pray for Pastor Brunson, please also remember the many other church leaders around the world that are attacked and imprisoned for their faith and passion to tell others about Jesus and lead them to Him.

“Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering” (Hebrews 13:3).
