Case in point? For months he refused to release information about how and why former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was prosecuted for lying to the FBI when no one on the FBI apparently believed he lied. Under pressure, he released a heavily redacted document that only raised more questions. Finally, when first threatened with impeachment by Congress, Rosenstein surrendered and released all of the Flynn documentation. What did that documentation reveal? That Rosenstein was not protecting vital "national security" secrets and assets. Instead, the documents showed that Rosenstein was protecting information that revealed he, Comey, Yates, McCabe and other FBI and DOJ official were guilty of gross misconduct at best, and criminal charges at worst! Officially, the Articles of Impeachment contend that Rosenstein: + "Slow walked" Congressional demands for documents about the Russia probe and the 2016 Hillary email server scandal; + Misused materials (The Steele Dossier) that was funded by the Clinton campaign to obtain a surveillance warrant application and subsequent renewals targeting former low-level Trump campaign aide Carter Page; + Improperly "engaged in a pattern of conduct incompatible with the trust and confidence placed in him" by refusing to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Committee on the Judiciary on March 22, 2018 connected to the congressional investigation into potential abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA); + "failed to enforce multiple laws" in the warrant process; + "knowingly provided misleading statements" to Congress about the steps taken to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 elections; + "failed his oath of office" by "refusing to discipline" Justice Department personnel after "obtaining evidence of disqualifying conflicts of interest demonstrated throughout the course of the ongoing investigation regarding charging decisions in the investigation surrounding former Secretary Clinton's private email server"; and + "failed to act on behalf of the Attorney General by properly supervising the administration of FISA by failing to demonstrate probable cause to believe the targets of surveillance were a foreign power or agents of a foreign power." Congressman Meadows has made clear he does not take impeaching a top Justice Department official like Rosenstein lightly. In fact, he has made clear impeachment is a "last resort" that should only be used by Congress when there is no other choice. Sadly, it is now clear there is no other choice. Despite the fact that Congress had made that clear to Rosenstein, he is once again stonewalling Congress, this time over the name of an intelligence "source" who is providing boatloads of information to Special Counsel Mueller. Congress wants to know if this "source" is another bought-and paid-for hack like Christopher Steele, the former British agent behind the phony Steele Dossier or, possibly, even an FBI "plant" or "spy" inside the Trump Presidential campaign. But as usual, once again, Rosenstein claims this is a matter of national security and has refused to honor a subpoena demanding he release information on who this source is and what makes him or her credible. Again, Rosenstein has waved this "national security" false flag over and over again to protect him and his fellow deep state coup leaders from scrutiny . . . and he remains as stubborn and as arrogant as ever. He claims there is "no constitutional basis for (Congressional) oversight" and has vowed he "will not be extorted" by Congressional threats to impeach him. He says law officers must "swear that the information in the affidavit (to a FISA judge) is true and correct" and if it is ever found the information was incorrect, the people behind the affidavit are "going to face consequences." We know that the Steele Dossier was "incorrect." And now it's time that Rod Rosenstein and his fellow coup conspirators face the "consequences."
