Dear Fellow Patriot,
An innocent U.S. soldier is locked away in prison for ordering his men to defend themselves during combat in Afghanistan. I've followed this case for several years now, and finally there's some good news. NEW information has been uncovered that PROVES the Army withheld critical evidence at trial.
The bad news is there's been no action to right this injustice and free this American Hero.
That's why I'm asking you to sign this PRESIDENTIAL PARDON PETITION FOR ARMY 1LT CLINT LORANCE right away.
If you've heard about 1LT Clint Lorance's case, then you know he was sent to one of the most dangerous combat zones in Afghanistan to replace a platoon leader who was severely wounded in an IED blast.
On his second day, Clint led his soldiers on a foot patrol to a nearby Afghan village that was riddled with land mines. Every soldier was on edge. Just days before, another U.S. soldier had been shot in the neck in this very village.
When three men riding a motorcycle started gunning toward their platoon, one of Clint's soldiers fired his rifle but missed.
With only a split-second to decide, Clint ordered his platoon to fire. They killed two of the men and one escaped.
Those of us who have been stationed in Afghanistan know the tactics and actions of the enemy. Without a doubt, these men posed a threat to Clint's platoon!
Yet our own government didn't agree. 1LT Lorance was convicted of murder and sentenced to 20 years at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth.
But now, Clint's attorneys have uncovered an Army document that admits a "confirmed insurgent" was killed in combat that day – and information that Clint's platoon was being scouted for an impending attack.
Now you know why I'm asking you to follow this link to sign the PRESIDENTIAL PARDON PETITION right away.
Clint's legal team has the documents – and fingerprint and DNA evidence – that prove he did not order his men to fire on Afghan "civilians" as the Army prosecutors claimed. They were Taliban bombmakers.
And this fall, Clint's legal team will file a Habeas Corpus petition in federal civilian court to challenge his conviction.
But you never know how a judge or jury will rule... so I refuse to sit back and leave Clint's fate to chance. That's why I'm renewing my call on President Trump to take action and pardon this American Hero.
The President has already pardoned Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Kristian Saucier, Scooter Libby, Jack Johnson and Dinesh D'Souza.
You can help me put Clint Lorance on this list by signing the PRESIDENTIAL PARDON PETITION to Donald Trump right now.
Clint Lorance signed up to serve his country and risked his life on the battlefield to protect our freedom. When his men were threatened, he did exactly what our military trained him to do.
And I'm glad he did – because in December 2015, six U.S. Airmen were on a foot patrol near Bagram Airbase when a motorcycle rider approached them. They didn't fire on the rider, and he detonated a bomb – killing all six Americans.
If Clint were in command of that patrol, those U.S. Airmen would be alive today and a terrorist would be dead instead.
As a combat veteran with 22 years of service, I can't turn my back on a young soldier who did what he was trained to do in war. I hope you won't either.
That's why I'm writing you this letter on behalf of the United American Patriots (UAP), an organization founded by another combat veteran who knows just like I do that you can't second-guess our young men for their split-second decisions on the battlefield.
UAP provides legal defenses for soldiers like Clint who have been unfairly accused of crimes for their actions in deadly combat zones. In fact, we are assisting 14 other wrongly accused soldiers, in addition to funding our efforts to free Clint.
As a non-profit organization, UAP doesn't receive a dime of federal funding. They depend solely on the big hearts of American patriots like you who support them and their mission.
UAP has calculated the cost of filing all the paperwork for Clint's official pardon request, this Petition campaign and the new appeal to be more than $875,000. But I don't think you can put a price tag on this young man's freedom!
I'm not asking you to write a check for $875,000. But I am asking you to make a tax-deductible gift of $31 after you sign the Petition.
Your gift will support UAP's efforts to collect millions of Petitions on Clint's behalf – and cover the legal fees for other innocent soldiers – so if you are in the position to send a larger tax-deductible gift in the amount of $50, $100, $500 or more, I pray you will.
1LT Clint Lorance served our country honorably and courageously for 10 years. He must not be branded a "murderer" for doing his job.
So please join me in the fight for Clint's freedom by signing the PRESIDENTIAL PARDON FOR ARMY 1LT CLINT LORANCE and making your best tax-deductible contribution of $31 or more.
On behalf of 1LT Lorance and his family, his legal team and UAP, thank you in advance for your support.
Steadfast and loyal,
LTC(R) Allen West
P.S. President Trump has proven he's listening to the American People by pardoning Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Kristian Saucier, Scooter Libby, Jack Johnson and Dinesh D'Souza. You and I need to get his attention and get 1LT Clint Lorance added to the list! Please stand with me by signing the PRESIDENTIAL PARDON PETITION to Donald Trumpand making your best tax-deductible donation to the United American Patriots. |
