CHRISTIAN ALLEGIANCE

As Christians we owe allegiance to Christ alone.

The parents who brought us into this world do not define us.

The nation we were born in does not define us.

The language we speak does not define us.

The color of our skin does not define us.

Christ alone defines us.

It is He Who created us.

It is He Who lives inside of us.

It is He Who has Saved us

Out of this Dark and Wicked World

It is He Who has given us Life and Light

And brought us to Himself.

It is He Who has prepared a Home for us.

It is He Who loves us with an Eternal Love.

It is He Who sustains us day by day, by His Spirit.

It is He Who supplies our every material and spiritual need.

His Kingdom alone is Eternal.

All else is passing away,

And one day soon will be no more.

We who live in the Secret Place of the Most High God

Find Rest in the Shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord,

He is my Refuge and my Fortress

My God in Whom I Trust.

The Lord is my Shepherd,

I shall lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

He leads me beside quiet waters,

He restores my Soul.

He guides me in paths of Righteousness

For His Names sake.

Even though I walk through the valley

Of the shadow of death,

I will fear no Evil,

For You are with me;

Your Rod and Your Staff,

They comfort me.

You prepare a table before me

In the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with Oil;

My cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me

All the days of my life,

And I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
