PETITION ON BEHALF OF THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

MAY 22, 2018

Petition on behalf of the Persecuted Church
Dear Friend,
Petitioning our government is one of the fundamental freedoms we have as Americans.

Today we are offering you the opportunity to exercise that freedom by joining with thousands of fellow believers to appeal to our government—specifically Congress—on behalf of our Christian brothers and sisters who are being persecuted for their faith around the world.

The US State Department reports that Christians in more than sixty countries face persecution from their governments simply because of their faith in Jesus Christ.

Even more disheartening is that we as Americans help fund many of the worst offenders through our tax dollars.

Let’s be clear, our own State Department is aware of and documents the most horrific kinds of persecution—unimaginable torture, slavery, and murder—and yet we continue to send financial aid.

As a nation we are culpable, and if we remain silent as believers we will be accountable.

That is why we have created a petition that will be sent to our leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, demanding that our government act immediately to DEFUND nations that persecute our Christian brothers and sisters.

This is an opportunity to speak out against the horrific treatment that some nations are inflicting daily on Christians simply for loving Jesus. We have the power to help change this injustice. Will you take hold of it and act today?

Please request your petition on behalf of the persecuted church. When you receive it, sign it and return it right away. We will send it along with thousands of others to our Congressional leaders urging them to take action.

Thank you for using your God-given liberty to act on behalf of our Christian brothers and sisters.
Sincerely,
