We are two thousand years nearer the second coming now! Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Now I, John, saw and heard these things.…And he said to me…“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. (Revelation 22:6–8, 10, 12–14) It is time to read God’s post-script in the Bible. That great Book closes with the words of Jesus: “I am coming quickly!” (Revelation 22:20). Jesus will come again.
We have been waiting over two thousand years. People waited much longer than that the first time He came, but He did not forget to come. He will come the second time, and will not forget. As long as the family that He loves is here on earth, He will never rest.
“To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time” (Hebrews 9:28).
We are two thousand years nearer the second coming now. If the first coming gave us the joys of Christmas, the second coming will bring the joys of heaven.
“Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” Make that your song today!
