WARFARE GIFTS

WARFARE GIFTS TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8). DAILY FIRE! I have cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light. The gifts of the Spirit are given to us freely:  “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God” (1 Corinthians 2:12).  There are cheap imitations on the market: religious novelties, vibrations, spirit-powers, healing sunbeams, and sweetness and light from nowhere in particular:  “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come… having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!… Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1, 5, 7). In many countries, our work disturbs those who have their own claims to power, protection, and healing. I recall an especially powerful witch being brought over from America in order to cast a spell and destroy what I was preaching. She stood at the back of the crowd and went through her performance.  I wore the whole armor of God as she attempted to launch a spiritual attack against me: "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand" (Ephesians 6:13).
