LET THE DEAD BURY THEIR OWN DEAD

59 And He (Jesus)said to another,

Become My disciple, side with My party,

And accompany Me!

But he replied, Lord permit me first to go and bury

[Await the death of] my father.

60 but Jesus said to him,

allow the Dead to bury their own Dead;

But as for you,

God and Publish abroad throughout all regions

The Kingdom of God.

(Luke 9:59-60, AMP)

Here Christ Jesus give us

The Overriding Purpose of this life;

To Proclaim the Kingdom of God.

That once we have received it,

We are to Proclaim it, that some might be Saved;

All that the Father has Called to Himself.

This life is to determine

Who will receive the Kingdom of God--

Who will walk in the Light of it;

The Light of Christ;

His Way, His Truth and His LIFE.

We are the Fishermen and women of God;

Fishing for those who will receive the Gospel,

The Good News of the Kingdom of God;

That there is a Life beyond this Natural Life;

And that it is this life that determines

Where we will spend Eternity.
