The scriptures make some astounding statements about "Grace." We all know that we are saved by grace, but what does this truly mean? Paul said "by the grace of God I am what I am." He had been a persecutor who "breathed out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord," but grace delivered him from sin and made him to be a mighty apostle of Jesus Christ. That same grace worked in him to do more for Christ than any other of the apostles.
Many people believe, because we are not under the Law but under grace, that God now accepts our sinfulness. Yet the scripture offers a different view of grace. The apostle Paul wrote, "… sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." Grace actually takes away every excuse for sin, because grace delivers us from sin.
In this free book by Leroy Surface, you will see how Grace delivers us from sin and Satan, makes us to be new creatures, and continues to work in us to cause us to be effectual ministers of Christ. God's purpose in giving grace is to have a people who truly are "to the praise of his glory." Visit cochurch.org to request your free book: "The Grace of Our God." |
