FRANKLIN GRAHAM: AMERICAN VETERANS DENIED SUPER BOWL AD

I’m baffled. How can they reject an ad promoting our national anthem? The NFL refused to run a print ad from American Veterans (AMVETS) in the official Super Bowl program because of its two-word message—“Please Stand.” They said it was too “political.” I’m sorry, but that’s the wrong word. Standing for the anthem isn’t political, it’s patriotic. Patriotism and love of country should be valued…even cherished. The very same ad was accepted by the NHL and the NBA. What’s wrong with the NFL? On #SuperBowlSunday I hope everyone in the entire stadium will #PleaseStand in honor of our nation and the men and women who defend the freedoms we enjoy!

The National Football League has rejected a Super Bowl advertisement from American Veterans urging people to stand for the national anthem.
