Dear LifeNews Readers,

As you may know, LifeNews launched our end-of-the-year giving campaign on Giving Tuesday. We had very high hopes that we would get off to a fantastic start with enthusiastic readers providing us the donations we need to reach millions of people in 2018 with the latest pro-life information, news and opinion.

Unfortunately that was not the case.

So I am turning to you today with the hopes that you will support LifeNews.com as we carry the pro-life banner forward in the next year.

As we look back to 2017 there were multiple pro-life battles that LifeNews helped fight.

We continued to expose the abortion industry and to help close down horrendous abortion centers that not only kill unborn children but put women's lives at risk as well. Thankfully dozens more abortion clinics were closed in 2017 and now three fourths of the abortion clinics that were operating about 20 years ago have closed.

LifeNews continued to expose the campaign by abortion activists to not just support abortion but to actually brag about their abortions, to promote abortion-on-demand and the force people to fund abortions with their taxpayer dollars or health insurance premiums.

Fortunately we got the great news in November that their campaign to turn abortion into a beautiful thing to celebrate is failing -- as abortions in the United States are down to historic lows as pro-life groups like LifeNews work to save every single baby possible from abortion.

And LifeNews.com helped lead the fight to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business. While President Donald Trump issued an executive order to defund Planned Parenthood on the international level unfortunately we were a couple of votes shy in the Senate of defunding Planned Parenthood in the United States. We will continue to put pressure on those recalcitrant Republican Senators who refused to support the effort to make sure your tax dollars don't fund Planned Parenthood's abortion agenda.

The pro-life movement this past year had both victories and defeats and LifeNews needs your help to continue fighting those battles and others next year.
