SIGN PETITION TELLING APPLE TO REINSTATE PRAYER APP

Dear Friend,

As you may have heard, Apple removed Human Coalition’s pro-life prayer app from the App Store over the summer. Thousands of Human Coalition supporters have since signed the petition telling Apple to reinstate the app, and we’re asking you to do the same.

A little background…

Apple first accepted the Human Coalition app in 2013. Over 20,000 users downloaded the app, and over 3.7 million prayers for abortion-seeking women were recorded between 2013 and this summer. In fact, the app was updated, reviewed, and accepted by Apple repeatedly over the last four years – with the most recent review taking place in June of this year.

Shortly after Apple approved the app for distribution on the App Store in June, pro-abortion media took aim, mocking Human Coalition and pro-life supporters for praying for abortion-seeking women. “Are digital anti-abortion prayers sanctioned by the Church? Do they reach God?” asked one blogger.

Without warning, Apple removed the app in July, claiming it violated a highly subjective functionality requirement but refusing to further dialogue with Human Coalition about how the app could be enhanced.

So Human Coalition was left with no viable way to reinstate the app. It wasn’t until many Human Coalition supporters contacted Apple that a constructive conversation between Human Coalition and Apple began.

Nevertheless, key questions remain unanswered by Apple...
  • Why did Apple leave our app in the App Store for four years, only to pull it on the heels of pro-abortion scrutiny?
  • Why did Apple repeatedly refuse to outline any specific technical deficiencies in our app over the summer?

How you can help…

While Apple’s responses remain guarded and unsatisfactory, we believe continued dialogue is beneficial.

THANK YOU to all who signed the petition. Please share it with your friends and family. And if you haven’t yet signed the petition, please do so now.
