INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: GEORGE SOROS THINKS HE'S 'A GOD'

'He views himself as a kind of deity'

Alicia Powe
An investigative journalist who has researched and written widely on radical advocacy organizations – and their sources of funding – says the prominent leftist billionaire who likes to subsidize those campaigns, George Soros, thinks he’s, well, a god.
The comments come from Matthew Vadum, the senior vice president of Capital Research Center, a think tank that deals with investigative projects.
His book “Subversion Inc.” addresses how the onetime big deal among leftist groups, ACORN, was run by “foot soldiers in a long-running war on America’s free political institutions.
He was speaking Tuesday at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., the site of the first Sovereign Nations Conference, which has “Understanding the Causes of Things” as the theme this year.
The Marxist billionaire is a megalomaniac who believes he is a god, Vadum explained.
“Somehow Soros began to think that he was a god because he had all this money that he earned from hedge funds – he made a billion dollars overnight in one transaction. He’s on record saying he began thinking of himself as a god. Initially, this troubled him, but then eventually he got used to and became fine with the idea.
“But he views himself as a kind of deity, which is interesting in that he is an atheist,” Vadum said.
Vadum argues that Soros, like Saul Alinsky, the author of the far-leftist “Rules for Radicals” admired by both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, uses religion to advance progressivism.
“Alinsky was also born a Jew. He didn’t identify as Jewish, he was an avowed atheist. Yet, like Soros, a deracinated Jew, he thought that using religion to advance and promote the fundamental transformation of society was useful. He was right. Alinsky reached out to the Catholic Church, he had a good relationship with them and wormed his way into many congregations and partnered with the social justice left of the Catholic church,” he said.
“Soros is more than happy to fund evangelical movements, as long as they advance what he supports, which is one world government, the abolition of borders, and if not the collapse of the United States, certainly the weakening of the United States,” he charged.
Vadum is a frequent guest on Fox News and a contributor to FrontPageMag.com, American Thinker, PJMedia, Daly Caller and more. He holds a Masters in American Studies from Georgetown.
Vadum explained Soros is using social engineering to destroy American sovereignty.
“Soros is a truly deranged, dangerous individual whose beliefs are antithetical to the core principles of America,” Vadum said. “It is amazing he has gotten away with doing so much damage to America’s free institutions over the years.”
He said the core of Soros’ plan to destabilize the United States is “abolishing borders” and push so there are no differences between illegal aliens and American citizens.
“He doesn’t think the United States should have any borders. Some would say that maybe this is because this benefits his business. Perhaps, I don’t believe that, though. I think that he is doing it for ideological, philosophical reasons. He either thinks it’s the right thing to do or it’s the right way to undermine America, driving worker wages down, expanding the welfare state.”
He continued, “Immigration has to pay for itself, but Soros and the Democratic Party and all the leftist groups that he funds don’t seem to care – all they talk about is the benefits, which is what a good salesman does. They never talk about the flip side, which is that immigrants, even legal immigrants are more likely to be on welfare than people who are native born U.S. citizens. This is one means of wrecking the United States that he supports.”
Leftists, he said, disapprove of the phrase “illegal alien” because they want to desensitize Americans to the invasion of their nation by foreigners and undermine the public’s respect for the rule of law.
“If you use the phrase ‘illegal alien’ – they want you to call them ‘undocumented immigrants’ or ‘undocumented workers’ to soften the blow. They don’t like the word ‘illegal’ because nobody is illegal according to the left. It is an emotional appeal. Just sounds high-minded but you think about it, it makes no sense.
“Soros promotes things that undermine social cohesion in the United States. He wants people to think of themselves as citizens of the world. It’s a meaningless expression. He doesn’t think America has a special mission and is intended to serve as beacon of liberty where people go to escape oppression. To him, the U.S. is just a place he came to make money.”
His support even goes to efforts that are glorifying “depravity,” Vadum said.
“[Soros] tinkers in social engineering. His foundation is at the forefront of funding everything that is weird, bad, and destructive. He supports the LBGTQ movement. And the groups that he funds help advance the transgender agenda, which is one of the more interesting arrivals on the scene lately in terms of left-wing activism – interesting in the idea that depravity is interesting,” he said.
“Soros is a twisted individual,” he said. “He has a strange idea of what totalitarianism is. He identifies the U.S. as the greatest threat to world peace and stability that there is. He has said that China has a better functioning government than we do. He compared George W. Bush whom he tried to defeat with twenty-something million dollars in contributions in 2004 to Nazis.”
Soros uses political correctness to intimidate Americans who have valid concerns about Islam and the terrorism it spawns, Vadum said.
“Islamophobia a made up concept, invented by Islamist,” he said. “It sounds like a psychiatric disorder, meant to be like homophobia, an irrational fear of Muslims. There isn’t much evidence that such a thing exists at as the left claims. After September 11, 2001, there was a lot of talk in the media about an expected backlash against Muslims — this horrible backlash like the Klan against blacks a century ago. It never materialized.”
As a result of the Soros-sponsored campaign against “Islamophobia,” Vadum argued, top conservatives have targets on their back as they are blacklisted as “racists” by the mainstream media.
“He funds all sorts of groups like the Center for American Progress, blacklisting people. David Horowitz, Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, these are all terrible bigoted people that deserve to be ostracized, they claim. It’s about blacklisting people like Geller who now needs armed security because her truthful writings about Islam offend Muslims.”
To destroy America, Soros is intent on collapsing the American healthcare system, which conservatives say is a feature already built into the Obamacare law.
“Soros was big backer of Healthcare in America Now which led the effort to pass Obamacare. Obamacare is the path to a socialist single-payer system and it is now collapsing according to plan,” he said.
Also, re-enfranchising felons is key to expanding the Democratic base. Felons tend to be Democrats, Vadum said.
The conference also is featuring Rep. Bill Johnson, Rep. Tom Garrett, Ambassador Alan Keyes, Kelly Monroe Kullberg, Matt Barber, James R. White, Steve Lawson, Summer White, Nick Adams as speakers.
