Dear Friend, The Southern Poverty Law Center [SPLC] has for years attempted to marginalize and silence Christian and conservative organizations by grouping them alonside true hate groups (like neo-Nazis and the KKK) and placing them alongside one another on the SPLC’s disingenuous “hate map”—while reaping enormous profits in the process. D. James Kennedy Ministries—which the SPLC has included on their “hate map” because of our stand for traditional marriage—has said “enough is enough.” We filed suit in federal court against the dishonest but powerful SPLC. And there is evidence our efforts are already having an effect! Just this past week, the news arrived that the U.S. Department of Defense has ceased using the SPLC’s designations and has removed all references to the SPLC from its training materials. Our lawsuit has helped draw attention to the dishonest practices of the SPLC. But with their $300 million-plus endowment, they are a formidable foe. You can be sure that they will emply a vast array of resources against us in this legal battle. That is why we need your help.
