TIME SLIPS AWAY

TIME… It slips away almost without notice,

Yet, when it is through,

The fullness of our days and character are represented

By what we did with it.

Memories will live on and they will tell the truth

Of WHO we are,

WHERE our heart was aimed,

And WHAT we longed to know…

Our life will tell if we used wisdom

To write into this earth a fresh story of faith,

A new testimony of God’s glory,

Or if we let time wrap around our eyes

And lull us into a slumber

Till our final day was over.

Father, let us be infused with Your wisdom

Through the beauty of Your Word.

Let our eyes be bathed in light

So that we would be aware

Of the way we can be faithful stewards

Of the mysteries of Jesus.

Let our spiritual depths increase with each day,

And let our ability to give freely increase with JOY.
