Senate Democrats came dangerously close to crossing a constitutional line regarding religious faith during an inquisition of one of President Trump's nominees for the federal court.
Senators grilled federal judicial nominee Amy Barrett -- demanding to know how her faith would influence her decisions from the bench. Barrett is a professor at Notre Dame Law School and a devout Catholic.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), expressed grave concerns that Barrett is a Catholic in good standing.
"When you read your speeches, the conclusion one draws is that the dogma lives loudly within you, and that's of concern when you come to big issues that large numbers of people have fought for, for years in this country," Feinstein said.
It was an "Are you now or have you ever been a Catholic" moment - and it was completely disgraceful. A Georgia middle school is apologizing after middle school students were presented a poem that described God as a “mythical creature like a unicorn.”
The Aug. 30th lesson was part of a classroom discussion about Greek mythology at Cedartown Middle School.

A Georgia high school teacher compared the "Make America Great Again" slogan to a swastika and ordered students wearing t-shirts supporting President Trump to leave her classroom.
The incident happened Aug. 31 at River Ridge High School in Cherokee County -- north of Atlanta - and it was all captured on video.
Turning Point News first obtained the exclusive video and it shows the teacher explaining to students that the could not wear pro-Trump clothing "just like you cannot wear a swastika to school."
The video, which you can watch below, also shows the teacher doubling down on her argument that the kids have to leave the classroom because the shirts say "Make America Great Again."
"The Neo-Nazis...I'm not saying about Trump, but the slogan," the teacher said.
