Every
Christian should understand the words of Christ Jesus:
“You
have One Teacher, the Christ.”
(Matthew
23:10)
Who is
your Teacher?
Is
your Teacher the words of Christ
Or the
words of man?
It is
the Indwelling Holy Spirit,
Or the
spirit of the Age?
Is
there an American Christianity,
That
has not Bowed to the Culture,
Making
it the teaching of men
Rather
than the Teaching of Christ?
The
Apostle Paul vowed this:
“I
Resolved to know nothing while I was with you
Except
Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.
I came
to you in Weakness and Fear,
And
with much Trembling.
My
Message and my Preaching
Were
not with Persuasive words,
But
with a Demonstration of the Spirit's Power,
SO
THAT YOUR FAITH
MIGHT
NOT REST ON MEN'S WISDOM,
BUT ON
THE POWER OF GOD.”
WE DO,
HOWEVER SPEAK A MESSAGE OF WISDOM
AMONG
THE MATURE,
BUT
NOT THE WIDSDOM OF THIS AGE,
OR OF
THE RULERS OF THIS AGE,
WHO
ARE COMING TO NOTHING.
NO, WE
SPEAK OF GOD'S SECRET WISDOM,
A
WISDOM THAT HAS BEEN HIDDEN
AND
THAT GOD DESTINED FOR OUR GLORY
BEFORE
TIME BEGAN.
NONE
OF THE RULERS OF THIS AGE UNDRSTOOD IT,
FOR IF
THEY HAD,
THEY
WOULD NOT HAVE CRUCIFIED
THE
LORD OF GLORY.
However,
as it is written:
“No
eye has seen,
No ear
has heard,
No
mind has conceived
What
God has Prepared
For
those who love Him”
BUT
GOD HAS REVEALED IT TO US BY HIS SPIRIT.
THE
SPIRIT SEARCHES ALL THINGS,
EVEN
THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD.
Christ
Jesus said this:
“If
anyone would come after Me
He
Must Deny himself
And
take up his Cross
And
follow Me.
For
whoever wants to Save his life
Will
lose it,
BUT
WHOEVER LOSES HIS LIFE
FOR ME
WILL FIND IT.”
(Matthew
16:24,25)
This
is not the American Christianity
I hear
Taught.
What
is yours?
As in
Paul's day,
The
Rulers of this World are coming to Nothing.
In
Paul's day, the Religious Leaders came to Nothing.
Today,
those Religious Leaders
Who
are simply a reflection of the Culture,
Will
come to Nothing.
