ORPHANS, ADOPTED BY GOD

God decided in advance to Adopt us into His own Family,

(As Creation is the Finished Work of God (Hebrews 4:3)),

By bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ.

(Ephesians 1:5, NLT)

The Spirit you received does not make you Slaves,

So that you live in Fear again; rather,

The Spirit you received

Brought about your Adoption to sonship (daughtership).

And by Him we cry, ”Abba, Father.”

(Romans 8:15)

The Sin Nature, that each of us was born with,

Made us Estranged from the Kingdom of God;

We had no place in it.

But God in His Mercy and Grace Adopted us

Out of this Estranged Condition

And brought us into His Family,

Causing us to be Born Again, Born of the Spirit of God,

Making us his sons and daughters,

By the Power of His Spirit.

And at the return of Christ Jesus,

We will be changed from Flesh, to entirely Spiritual.

I declare to you, brothers,

That Flesh and blood cannot Inherit the Kingdom of God,

Nor does the Perishable Inherit the Imperishable

Listen, I tell you a Mystery:

We will not all sleep,

BUT WE WILL ALL BE CHANGED--

In a Flash, in the Twinkling of an eye,

AT THE LAST TRUMPET .

For the Trumpet will sound,

The Dead will be Raised IMPERISHABLE,

AND WE WILL ALL BE CHANGED.

For the Perishable must clothe itself with the Imperishable,

And the Mortal with Immortality.

(1 Corinthians 15:50-53)

Such is our Adoption, by God's Magnificent Grace.
